I've always shied away from listening to covers because I'm scared of what will come of them! Although, there is a couple that I've accumulated over time, here are a few of my favorites.

Off of one of my absolute favorite albums, Hozier does this song in a more melancholic way, whereas Alex Turner does it in an angsty, carefree manner. This song has been slowed down to perfection and the added harmonies just do it for me. Hozier could honestly cover anything & I'd be like "yes".
Inhaler, everything they've put out has just been so good. When I saw they covered this song, my heart actually dropped. As one of my favorite songs in general, Inhaler covered it spot on. Elijah Hewson's voice in this song is like the parallel male version of Hope Sandoval's. I feel as if her's has more emotion in a way, but Hewson's almost-monotone would/could do the same. I won't say which version is my favorite, but Inhaler added 20 seconds so....
I recently found this, and I have NO idea how I skipped over this, so apologies Lewis. Watson's slightly raspy vocals add a bit of edge to this, but completely changes that in the outro, enhancing the last verses so much.
I think this cover was the first song I heard by The Academic, one of my favorite bands, I love the twist they put on this song, freshening it up by amplifying the electric riff more than the original version.
The Brook & The Bluff's drummer, John Canada, does it all in this song, creating a relaxing, acoustified, version of this classic.
